Dear Mom

I haven't written in a couple of days so here's a line. I got one letter two days ago dated Oct 16 and one today dated Sept 27. The later one had Unks and Doris's picture in it. That was a pretty good picture of Unk - it made me laugh. So Doris isn't a blond anymore eh? I never did think she was a natural blond. Well we haven't done much lately - just lots of rain and mud. It kinda looks like things are going to get rough over here - the missions I mean.

I got a tetnus shot today and is my arm ever sore. Had my teeth checked but they were all OK. We got paid the other day but I think we might go to rest camp this month so I'll need all my dough. Did I tell you Mac is a first Lt now - he made it last month - so he gets a pretty good pay check now. All the gunners made staff sargents and the Enginer and raido men are tech sargents. There drawing almost as much money as I am. We haven't done much so there isn't anything to write about. I haven't been in town for some time it's to much bother unless we have a ride from the squadron. Well we're due to fly in the morning so I better hit the sack and get some sleep.
