Dear Mom

Well it's been over a week since we've had a mission. We just sit around and censor mail. We had one interesting day to relieve the monotony.

First, did I tell you that our group is called the Pathfinder? Well it is. We have planes equipped for radar bombing. Well, the other day we went on a practice mission and it sure was interesting the way the thing worked. It's really accurate. Then we had another ship to fly for slow time so we have at least gotten off the ground.

We went to Cerignola for our rations the other day. We still go to the show every night---nothing else to do. Just lay around all day sleeping or reading. I'm well but getting quite lazy. They better get something for us to do pretty soon or we'll all go bats.

I haven't gotten any letters addressed to this place yet; they're still coming from the old APO number When they do come, they come in bunches of four or five. Thank Auntie for her letter and tell Unk I'll write him soon. I haven't found any coins here, it's all paper money.

Well I guess that's about all for tonight so I'll close with love to all.

Love
Rae
