Dear Folks,

Well today I got five letters and one was from Robin. Do you know where Assam is? I don't. I suppose you've heard too and have already sent a letter telling me where it is and the population and what it produces and what it's famous for.

One of the letters I got today was dated Jan. 20; it was from you. I also got your V-Mails of February 16th and 17th. I wonder if you have sent Mr. Frost's address yet. I don't know if you forgot or the mail is gummed up.

Dad was right as usual: Del is Mac's wife. By all means send the baby a gift. Write to Doris all you want, makes me no difference, I never worry about women except my Ma. I'll be glad to get the slippers when they come so I'll be looking for them. Did I tell you Aunties' box of candy arrived OK. I could use some more crackers any time. So you're doing your own papering now, eh? That ought to be good. Say, Pa, does the paste get on the paper or you?

The other night I got in a crap game; I did all right but right after I got in a poker game--table stakes. I didn't do so good in it though. I was going to send a $100 money order in this letter but didn't get to the P.O. so will send it in the next letter. You should see the picture Ella sent me of herself--oh boy!!! The weather sure has been good---I guess it's about due to rain pretty soon.

Mac is operations officer now so when we fly we lead the group. That means we are the first ship in the formation or as I said, group lead. It also means that we don't fly so often any more. Say, Ma, I don't want to disappoint you but you can't get any higher than a 1st Lt. as a co-pilot soooo Mac will make Captain and maybe Lew but no possibility for me. Well enough for tonight---

Love,
Rae

P.S. I'm all out of long envelopes
