Say, what kind of weather do you have up there anyway? Our dust storms last night started with a north wind and this morning when I got up it was twenty above. We had snow flurries all morning and the wind was strong all day. Our overcoats sure did come in handy. They sure are warm. We fell out after chow and were given our post number and then we were told to fall back into our barracks. We stayed there all morning and had a lecture on guard duty. our instructor told us of one guard that fell asleep here on this field in December. He got fifteen years while his partner got six months. In the afternoon after chow we had more lectures on hiking and camping. At three O'clock we took time out and went to mump inspection. Tonight we stood retreat in front of our barracks for fifteen minutes. Other than that, we didn't do anything all day. That sure was OK for my cold. I received your letter tonight, that's the fastest service so far. Sell the bike if you can but not my dress suit. It can be altered to fit when I get back. Oh yes, about the headings, they're too conventional and besides, they interrupt when you read the letters as a whole.
You can send me dad's steel mirror, the ones here are steel plates and you can't see your face clearly. I can also use my moccosins. My feet haven't bothered me as yet. The only trouble I have with them is the holes they make in my stockings. So Pa's getting good in ping pong, guess I'll have to come home and beat him to keep him from getting too good. Well, it's time for bed so good night.
Love, Rae
