Dear Folks,

Well here's another letter about nothing. Your V-Mail letter arrived one day earlier than the regular one. I got two V-Mails today from you, the 27th & 28th of February. Those pictures of the kids taken at West Point certainly are wonderful. I carry them in my billfold and look at them all the time. I have some more pictures that I'll send in this letter and in a separate envelope.

Lew has finished but he is still flying with us. I'm flying with another crew too, so I'll catch up and finish with the boys. It will be nice if we can all go home together. I've only had one letter from Robin. I hear from Gif pretty regular, Connie too.

Well our mud has been gone for some time now and the weather has been pretty good. Oh yes, I think in my last letter I said I was going to send a money order--well a little something came up, to be exact, I flew some boys up to Rome to rest camp and then stayed overnight and didn't come back until the next evening. That one night and half day cost $50, so no money order. I sure had a good time and got to see a lot more sights and went to a dance too.

Other than that there hasn't been much new around here. I bought an ashtray souvenir of Rome and some coins for Unk. I'll send the coins home but I'm using the ashtray, so you won't get it until I get home.

Well, I flew today so I'm kinda tired so I better hit the sack before I fall off this chair.

Love,
Rae
