Dear Mom and Pop,
I got your V-mail letter today and I got Unk's letter yesterday - so what does that prove? I'm still waiting for Robin's new address. I'm getting disgusted with this mail situation. I never get any letters so there is never any thing to write about. I sent you the block captain's letter 'cause I lost his address. I got a nice letter from Eunice the other day. I got two boxes and the pipe sure was swell. The canned food was marvelous and the crackers were in pretty good shape. Boy those crackers sure were welcomed; next time you send a box crackers and cheese would be swell. Can't say much for the jigsaw puzzle. Oh yes if you want to send any more tobacco don't send an aromatic blend. I got my first issue of the Reader's Digest so I'll be writing Em a letter - will send it to you for I don't know her address. Sure wish you would hurry up and send Robin's address - I want to know where he is.
This morning we censored mail then played a little poker. It was only a friendly game - chips were only 10 cents - I steer clear of the bloody cut throat games - these are usually table stakes. I don't know if I won or lost, Pa. I didn't count my money when we started - think I came out about a dollar ahead. You can see how much money means to me over here.
My next pay ought to be a big one so I'll be sending some money home. I'll get some V-mail and start sending them if you want. They would be easier for me to write because they are not so big - not only that but I could send more of them more often. That's all for tonight, time to hit the sack.
Love,
Rae
P.S. Please send me your picture if it is ready yet.
