Monday 23

Well another week has gone by and here is the weekly letter. There certainly isn't very much to put in it this time. I wrote a letter to Norma - I guess that's her name - but haven't received a letter as yet. I wrote a letter to Con today during physics class. I don't know why we're still going to class - my last final was on Saturday. We saw movies in Navel forces today, didn't do anything in physics, and then we took code. Tomorrow is our last day of classes. Yesterday there were two generals and the governor of the state at the parade. They took news reels of us and some newspaper shots. I am sending you one but don't try and find me. I'm in it but my head is just a dot. I'll show you our squadron - between the two marks. Maybe we got in the news reel but I doubt it. If you ever happen to see it our squadron is 34.

We have a track meet on Wed. so that will take up one day of this week. We'll leave either next Sunday or Monday and I'll probably land somewhere in a 199 mile radius of Los Angeles. Well, I ended up with a 90% average which was all right with me. Now for the next seven months I'll be living in fear of washing out. If I get by primary all right everything will be all right.

I haven't heard from Robin in a long time, where is he now? He moved didn't he? I heard from Ann Carol or did I tell you? I ought to have time to write lots of letters this week - I hope so. We had our squadron picture taken and I started to get it signed but it was too much bother so I'm sending it home. The only reason I bought it is that I thought you might like it. If you don't throw it out. This last weekend I was going to see Miss Earsted but when I called she wasn't home so I just bummed around Santa Ana and played miniature golf and took in a show. I didn't get any mail today but maybe I'll get some tonight. I got a thank-you letter from Bud and Lois. They've got a room and Bud gets to come home every night. He only has to stay on the post when he has night runs. He says he doesn't like navigation very well, but I guess it's hard to go to school after you have received you commission. Well I guess that's all there is for now so I'll close.

Love,
Rae
