Dear Folks,

Well, when I got back to the squadron, they figured I needed a rest, so I've been at Capri for the last week. I'll start flying now and it shouldn't be too long before I finish. Mac and Lew left today with the rest of the crew - just Danny and I are left. Dan has 8 to go and I have 4. I hope to be home by June if everything goes right.

I sure had fun at Capri - even more so than last time. I went with the crew I went down with and we met three Captains from the front lines. Boy did we raise hell. I also met a Red Cross gal that was lots of fun. These pictures are ones I took with my new camera. It sure is a swell buy for only forty bucks.

I got some more packages while I was there. One from Connie and two from Uncle Roy. Since the boys left today there was a big party last night, and I really mean big. We went down to the plane this morning to see the boys off - poor Dan couldn't keep his eyes dry. Did I tell you he has been sick; about three days before I went down they took him to the hospital with pneumonia. They shot him in the back with penicillin umpteen times and he was out when I got back. I guess they cured him in about ten days.

Well, was just checking the package list and they all arrived OK, also the pipe tobacco. My camera takes 120 or 620 film so if you get any, save it. Oh yes, Connie sent me a picture that is quite nice - it is an enlargement of a snapshot. I think I already bawled you out for using a shoe stamp on me. I have to admit they're swell and fit OK. Oh yes, I spent three hours for three days on the beach and didn't get sunburned once.

Now that I'm back in the squadron, I'll write every day or every other day. I've got lots of letters to write.

Well, that's all for tonight.

All My love,
Rae
